<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To automatically manage that a communication apparatus itself has been replaced. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A communication apparatus management device 10 for managing communication apparatuses includes: a temporary history holding part 36 for holding communication apparatus information to be acquired by an apparatus information acquiring means; an updating determination information generating part 40 for matching management information to manage configuration information of the communication apparatus with the communication apparatus information held by the temporary history holding part 36, and successively generating updating determination information; an apparatus updating determining part 26 for comparing the successively generated updating determination information, and determining whether an updating pattern is the change of an internal configuration of the communication apparatus or the new installation of the communication apparatus, based on existence of change in at least logical identification information on a network or a physical identification information on the network; and a management information updating part 24 for updating the management information in response to the determination.
