<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water meter capable of improving precision further, and to provide an inner case for the water meter. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the water meter 10, a rectangular introduction port 47A is formed between two introduction protruding walls 50, 50 that are adjacent in the circumferential direction of a cylindrical wall 41 in an inner case 40. An introduction nozzle 47 for taking in service water toward nearly a tangential direction of the cylindrical wall 41 is formed between a front side introduction surface 52 extended from a front side open end 47A1 of the rectangular introduction port 47A and a rear side introduction surface 51 extended from a rear side open end 47A2. Then, at the front edge of the rear side introduction surface 51, an introduction tip plane 53 that rises outside from a cylindrical inner surface 41A of the cylindrical wall 41 and continues to the rear side introduction surface 51 is formed, thus reducing the peak of an instrumental error curve, improving linearity in the instrumental error curve, and further improving precision in the water meter 10.
