<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure determination device and a structure determination method which can efficiently determine an optimal structure of molding. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A computer 1 as a structure determination device takes as a processing target a face where fluid flows in the molding which constitutes a reservoir or a flow channel of fluid, creates a finite element mesh based on a part data 23 of face of the processing target, maps coordinates of a height direction to each element which constitutes the finite element mesh, applies a structure determination filter which converts a coordinate of each element to the mapped coordinate so that the other element which has a coordinate value of not larger than the coordinate value may exist in the perimeter, and makes the coordinate of each element after application to be reflected in the part data 23.
