<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a welding method for a thermofusible material such as a fibrous mat, by which high joining strength is economically obtained by short-time welding processing, without using a large number of ultrasonic horns and an impulse oscillator and to provide a welding device used for the welding method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the welding method for the thermofusible material, the thermofusible material (2) is placed on the surface of a base material (1) and the top end of a heating bar (5) is pressed against the thermofusible material (2) for each predetermined place, to soften or melt the thermofusible material (2) and weld the thermofusible material (2) to the base material (1).
