<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger suppressing fracture of a tube by thermal distortion and securing pressure resistance and vibration resistance. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This heat exchanger has: mutually laminated flat tubes 10; an inlet header part 50 connected to one end of each flat tube 10 and having an inflow port 53 for making cooling water to flow in from the outside; an outlet header part 60 connected to the other ends of each flat tube 10 and communicated with the inlet header part 50 via the flat tubes 10 for making the cooling water to flow to the outside; inserts 70, 80 disposed at both ends in the laminating direction of the flat tubes 10 and connected to the inlet header part 50 and the outlet header part 60; and ribs 71, 81 formed by bending both edges of each of the inserts 70, 80 outward.
