PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cap opener which does not damage the mouth of a bottle when a user opens the bottle by either of a normal-operation opening method or a reverse-operation opening method. Ž
SOLUTION: Tapered engaging nails are formed on the front end side and the rear end side of the inner peripheral edge of an opening, and shoulders projecting frontward or backward are formed respectively outside both peripheral ends of each engaging nail. In this configuration, the shoulders come in contact with a crown top face upon opening the bottle, which prevents the bottle opener from moving toward the bottle, thus prevents damage to the bottle mouth. Similarly, when irregular portions are formed on the inner peripheral surface outside both peripheral ends of each engaging nail, the crown top face and/or the peripheral wall comes in contact with the irregular portions upon opening the bottle, which prevents the cap opener from moving toward the bottle, thus preventing a damage to the bottle mouth.
