<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing data-converting method which can alter character attributes corresponding to character codes on the basis of conditions which an operator sets from host printing data generated by a host computer. <P>SOLUTION: A printer controller 24 stores information which is described in a character attribute conversion table 23 in a buffer in the printer controller 24. Then, the printer controller reads host printing data 41 transmitted from a host computer 4 and analyzes control codes and character codes. When there are character attributes which are described in the character attribute conversion table 23, for example, fonts, in the control codes, the printer controller loads the converted fonts which are described in the character attribute conversion table 23 from a font memory 22, and writes characters to the drawing area of the printer controller 24. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
