<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved quotation system and method for using a relational database, which centrally manages data accessed by various departments when preparing a quotation to a customer. <P>SOLUTION: The relational database allows various departments to prepare a quotation. The relational database centralizes and manages data to increase efficiency, and the data can be modified, as needed, for particular quotation solutions. All of a sales department 12, a design department 14, a manufacturing department 16, and a purchase department 18 can reciprocally interact with the database 10. The sales department, also shown as a mark 20, receives the quotation at a final stage. The sales department 20 accesses additional information of the database 22, and develops a quotation structure of the quotation submitted to the customer 24 as a report 26 by cooperating together with cost structures prepared by other departments. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
