<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for operating a synthesis gas reformer in a GTL (gas to liquid) plant, in which the outlet temperature of the synthesis gas reformer is controlled precisely. <P>SOLUTION: The method for operating the synthesis gas reformer 20 in the GTL plant 8 comprises the steps of: calculating the calorie required for the synthesis gas reformer 20 at any time by using operating conditions of the synthesis gas reformer 20, the composition of natural gas 111, the inlet temperature of the synthesis gas reformer 20 and the outlet pressure of the synthesis gas reformer 20; and adjusting the pressure of fuel gas according to the amount of the fuel gas 122 to be required for the calculated calorie. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
