<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide the moving picture decoding apparatus capable of reducing the number of cycles at calculation of the block boundary strength in deblocking filter processing, while suppressing the increase in the circuit scale. <P>SOLUTION: A motion vector decoding portion 12 decodes alternately motion vector information on a sub-macroblock belonging to a macroblock, for two macroblocks having different reference directions. A block boundary strength calculation portion 13 calculates the block boundary strength bS regarding the block for prediction, corresponding to the position of a sub-macroblock, whenever the sub-macroblock between two macroblocks is decoded. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
