PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an ultrasonic spindle apparatus capable of reducing the fabrication process of a spindle rotating while making ultrasonic vibration and assuring a lower cost, higher speed, and higher precision. SOLUTION: The ultrasonic spindle apparatus A is structured so that the spindle 2 having a tool 1 at the tip rotates while making ultrasonic vibration, and is equipped with a housing 4 to support the tip side and the drive side of the spindle 2 through bearings 10 and 11 and an excitation part 5 to vibrate the spindle 2 ultrasonically, wherein the excitation part 5 is installed nearer the drive unit than the position of the bearing 11 on the drive side of the spindle 2.
