PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a powder dust remaining inside of a boring hole when an anchor or the like is driven into the boring hole in a boring tool with a dust-collection mechanism. SOLUTION: The boring tool has a drive source such as an electric motor and an engine; a distal end tool driven by the drive source and performing boring work relative to a material to be cut; and a dust-collection device for collecting the powder dust generated by the boring work. The dust-collection device has a dust-collection adapter surrounding at least a part of the distal end tool and sucking the generated powder dust; a dust-collection vessel for storing the generated powder dust; a dust-collection passage for connecting the dust-collection adapter to the dust-collection vessel; and a suction means for generating suction force for sucking the generated powder dust from the dust-collection adapter to the dust-collection vessel. The dust-collection adapter has an air flowing-in passage capable of taking-in air from the outside of the dust-collection adapter to the inside of the boring hole opened by the boring work, and the taken-in air can be moved to the dust-collection adapter through the boring hole.
