PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing paper pack for thermal transfer, which is configured so as to have a protective sheet disposed on an uppermost surface on the image receiving surface side of a load wherein a large number of printing papers for thermal transfer are stacked, the pack which prevents marked degradation of printing quality due to fingerprint-like printing irregularity generated by fingers touching erroneously an image receiving surface, and also prevents erroneous supply of the protective sheet from a paper supply section of a printer. SOLUTION: In the printing paper pack 1 for thermal transfer which is configured so as to have the protective sheet 4 disposed on the uppermost surface on the image receiving surface side of the load 3 wherein a large number of the printing shhets of paper 2 for thermal transfer are stacked, the protective sheet 4 is prevented from being supplied from the paper supply section of the printer by limiting the stiffness of the protective sheet 4 defined by the Gurley method of J.TAPPI (year 2000 version) No.40 within a fixed range of 10.7-26.5 mN.
