PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic cover for a machine tool, capable of preventing invasion of dust into components of a feed mechanism that reciprocates a moving body in a double structure, and attaining easy and prompt attachment work to the machine tool. SOLUTION: A Z-axis saddle 20 is attached to a pair of right and left Z-axis guide rails 18 laid on an upper surface of an X-axis saddle 14 through a slider 19 so as to reciprocate. A servo motor 21 is attached to the upper surface of the X-axis saddle 14, and a ball screw 22 is jointed to the servo motor 21 to be screwed with a ball screw nut 23 that is attached to a lower surface of the Z-axis saddle 20 of the ball screw 22. An auxiliary fixing cover piece 62 and first to forth auxiliary movable covers 64A to 64D are attached to a fixed cover piece 44 of the telescopic cover 41 and respective first to forth movable cover pieces 46A to 46D to provide an auxiliary telescopic cover 61 for covering an upper area of the ball screw 22 to a central part of the inner side of the telescopic cover 41.
