摘要 <P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light source apparatus for an endoscope, in which coherence of a laser light is reduced and a speckle is visibly reduced at low cost without any mechanical means. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The light source apparatus for the endoscope 1 includes: laser modules 2a-2d having laser light sources 8a-8d, intensity modulation means 6a-6d, and the first light waveguides 3a-3d radiating intensity modulated laser lights L1-L4; a second light waveguide 5; a white light source 20; and a third light waveguide 21 to guide a white light WL, in which light emerging end parts 3e-3h of the first light waveguides 3a-3d are closely bunched so that the laser lights L1-L4 could radiate from a light radiating area 15. The second light waveguide 5 is optically connected to the light radiating area 15 so as to guide the laser lights L1-L4. Light emerging end parts 5c and 21a of the second light waveguide 5 and third light waveguide 21 are provided on an endoscope illumination part 31a.
