<p>The present invention is directed to a composition comprising a pegylated amphiphilic polymer, wherein the pegylated amphiphilic polymer is comprised of at least one polymerizable carboxylic acid and at least one amino acid; wherein the degree of pegylation is adapted to cause the amphiphilic polymer to form a vesicle; wherein the polyethyleneglycol moiety is linked to a cleavable linkage; and wherein the cleavable linkage is cleavable by an external stimulus to cause a conformational change of the vesicle form of the polymer into its linear form. The present invention also describes the manufacture of such compositions and the use as pharmaceutical and in scaffolds.</p> |
