<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a light guide plate which has a large and thin shape and has a high efficiency of using light and can emit light with little luminance unevenness in the vicinity of a light incident surface. <P>SOLUTION: The light guide plate includes a light emitting surface of rectangular shape, two light incident surfaces which include respectively two long sides opposed to of the light emitting surface and are arranged at the positions mutually opposed to, two symmetrical slopes of which the distance from the light emitting surface respectively becomes far as they go to the center of the light emitting surface from these two light incident surfaces, and a jointing part to joint these two slopes, and contains diffusion particles to propagate the light inside. At least one of the light emitting surface and the slopes has a large number of groove-shape or point-like recesses formed only in the outer edge region being the light incident surface side region including a tangent line with the light incident surface. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
