<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device which allows easy disposal of the deteriorated toner to shorten processing time and prevents mixing of new toner with extremely deteriorated toner, with a simple configuration, and an image forming apparatus equipped with the developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes: a replaceable toner cartridge; a development chamber; a first transport path which connects the toner cartridge to the development chamber; a first transport means which transports toner from the toner cartridge to the development chamber through the first transport path; a second transport path which connects the development chamber to the toner cartridge; and a second transport means which transports the toner from the development chamber to the toner cartridge through the second transport path, wherein the toner is made to circulate by drive of the first and second transport means, and all deteriorated toner within the development chamber and the second transport path is discharged to the toner cartridge in replacement of the toner cartridge. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
