<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device which allows easy disposal of the deteriorated toner to shorten processing time and prevents mixing of new toner with deteriorated toner, with a simple configuration, and an image forming apparatus equipped with the developing device. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device includes: a replaceable toner cartridge; a development chamber; a first transport path which connects the toner cartridge to the development chamber; a first transport means which transports new toner from the toner cartridge to the development chamber through the first transport path; a second transport path which connects the development chamber to a deteriorated toner collecting part; and a second transport means which discharges the deteriorated toner within the development chamber to the deteriorated toner collecting part through the second transport path on a predetermined condition. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
