<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress the deterioration in relay life in a power converter for outputting AC power after converting DC power into AC power. <P>SOLUTION: The power converter is provided with: a DC voltage conversion circuit 18 provided with a step-down inverter 16 for stepping down the inputted DC voltage and a boost chopper 17 for boosting; an inverter circuit 5 for outputting AC power after converting DC voltage outputted from the DC voltage conversion circuit 18 into AC voltage; a first voltage detection part 19 for detecting a voltage on input terminal side of the DC voltage conversion circuit 18; a first relay 9 for bypassing the function of the DC voltage conversion circuit 18; and a relay drive control part 24 for controlling the first relay 9 to be turned on when the voltage detected by the first voltage detection part 19 is within the predetermined value and the DC voltage conversion circuit 18 is stopped for a predetermined time. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
