<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for supporting the control of a printing color tone, and a method and an apparatus for managing a printing color tone, wherein an ink supply amount can be controlled so as to coincide with a matched color by easily and properly performing determination on printing color matching regardless of an observation environment. <P>SOLUTION: A pattern to be printed by a printer is projected as a target color pattern with a color tone of a print sample on a monitor screen, the color of printed matter is measured by a sensor, and the measured color value is applied to each device profile of the sensor and the monitor to project a detected color pattern with a measured color tone on the monitor screen. A simulated change amount of ink supply is applied to the device profiles to change the detected color pattern to a color pattern corresponding to the simulated change of the ink supply amount to project a simulation changed color patter on the monitor, whereby the determination on matching can be performed by referring the monitor. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
