<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an oil pan can prevent the splash of oil from an oil filter mounting part without a risk of damaging the oil filter mounting part set up in the oil pan in collision of a vehicle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The oil pan 1 is provided with the oil filter mounting part 8 downward opened on one end of a crank axial direction of the oil pan 1, and an auxiliary machine mounting part 7 disposed adjacently to the oil filter mounting part 8 in a vehicle longitudinal direction. In the oil filter mounting part 8, a part of a peripheral wall thereof is arranged to face one end wall 2 of the oil pan 1, and a reinforcement rib 9 is protrudingly provided on an outer surface thereof so as to be disposed across the part of the peripheral wall of the oil filter mounting part 8 facing the one end wall 2 of the oil pan 1 in the vehicle longitudinal direction.
