<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately position a cylinder head cover in an internal combustion engine, which is structured such that the cylinder head cover 2 covering the upper surface of a cylinder head 1 is tightly fastened onto the cylinder head side with a plurality of bolts 6 penetrating a flange part 4 installed outside the cylinder head cover. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The bottom surface of the flange part of the cylinder head cover is equipped with at least two pin axes 9, 10 such that the pin axes project downward, the pin axes engaging detachably with the positioning holes drilled in the cylinder head side; while the top side of the flange part is provided with a recess 13 directly above the area of pin axis 9, one of the pin axes, the recess becoming a positional reference of each bolt and further having a drainage hole 14 in the resess.
