<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motor driven compressor for securing insulating property without soaking a neutral point with lubricating oil. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The motor driven compressor comprises a housing 1 storing mechanism parts, a motor mechanism part 5 stored in a motor housing 2, a compression mechanism part 6 arranged in a compressor housing 3 for compressing refrigerant, and a drive circuit part 7 arranged in a front housing 4 for controlling the motor mechanism part 5 to be driven. The motor mechanism part 5 consists of a rotor 10 arranged at the center of the motor housing 2 and integrally fixed to a driving shaft 9 for rotating the driving shaft 9, and a stator 11 arranged between the motor housing 2 and the rotor 10. The stator 11 is formed with teeth 14 on which a conductor 13 is wound, and the neutral point 15 of the conductor 13 on the teeth 14 is provided on the upper part in the vertical direction of a vehicle in the state that the motor driven compressor is mounted thereon.
