<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a smoke detector capable of making it difficult for heat or vibration to transfer, between a smoke detector or a suction device and a control substrate, and making it difficult for impact, or the like to transfer which are applied to a housing to the smoke detector or the suction device. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In this smoke detector is provided with a fan 3 for sucking sampling air from wiring for sampling; and a smoke detection unit 2, to which the sampling air from the wiring for sampling is introduced in an almost box-shaped housing 50, the housing 50 is provided with a chamber 45, in which the fan 3 or the smoke detection unit 2 are stored, and a sidewall 57 of the chamber 45 arranged with a prescribed interval in a control substrate storage part 56 of the housing 50, is configured as a double structure.
