<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger which prevents a fault, such as, corrosion and contact defect of a heat pump due to the condensation of water, using a simple method, has high long-term reliability and has superior radiation efficiency, without deteriorating the thermal connection performance, and to provide a moisture preventing method of the heat exchanger. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The heat exchanger is provided with a heat pump 6 having two flat faces, a first metal plate 2 and a second metal plate 4, which are thermally connected, arranged across the two faces of the heat pump, and have gap expansion parts 11, where at least a part of corners of the confronted faces is cut; a plurality of first radiation members 3, which are thermally connected to the other face of the first metal plate; a plurality of second radiation members 5, which are thermally connected to the other face of the second metal plate and a moisture preventing member, with which at least the gap expansion part between the first metal plate and the second metal plate is filled and which intercepts the heat pump from outside air.
