PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a new acrylate derivative useful as a synthetic intermediate of a material for a polymer compound for use in a photoresist composition, a method for producing the same, and further a method for producing nitrogen-containing acrylate derivative. SOLUTION: Disclosed is an acrylate derivative obtained by a method shown by formula (III) (in the formula, R<SP>1</SP>represents H or a 1-5C alkyl group that may be substituted with F; R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>each represents H, a 1-15C alkyl group, a 1-5C alkylene group that may contain an oxygen atom or a sulfur atom on an optional position with R<SP>2</SP>and R<SP>3</SP>bound together, -O- or -S-; and X represents F, Cl or Br).
