The seat (1) has a backrest part (2) and a seat part (3), where the backrest part is positionably provided relative to the seat part. A mechanical energy storage is attached to the seat and is provided for effect of preloading of the backrest part in a direction from one use position to another use position. A pure linear shift of the backrest part is provided between the use positions. A locking latch is biased in a direction of a locking position.
