<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and a composition for treating demyelinating disorders using an inhibitor of lymphotoxin pathway. <P>SOLUTION: The method for treating demyelinating disorders using an inhibitor of lymphotoxin pathway is provided, which is partly based on the finding that a LTβR (lymphotoxin-β-receptor)'s soluble form (e.g. LTβR-Fc) can efficiently promote a remyelination in a subject. Therefore, there are provided a method, a composition [e.g. a soluble LTβR fusion protein (e.g. LTβR-Fc)], a device, and a kit, each useful for treating demyelinating disorders (e.g. multiple sclerosis) and for monitoring a remyelination in such a subject. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
