<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide am edible film for taste modification, which has no inedible parts, is easily dissolved and readily modifies a taste and a method for producing the same. <P>SOLUTION: The edible film for taste modification comprises a material containing a taste modifying substance in a film composed of a water-soluble polymer. The material containing a taste modifying substance is added to a film composed of a water-soluble polymer. Consequently, the film is easily dissolved in the oral cavity. A film having a wide contact area with the tongue in comparison with a tablet is used. Thus, a taste modifying substance is easily and uniformly dispersed to the whole tongue. As a result, taste is easily modified. The edible film for taste modification is produced by mixing an aqueous solution of a mixture containing a water-soluble polymer with a material containing a taste modifying substance to give a mixed solution, coating a film substrate with the mixed solution, drying the film substrate and peeling an edible film for taste modification from the film substrate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
