<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clip device for an endoscope wherein a medical doctor carrying out treatment can properly grasp an operation amount and clip force and can adjust the clip force for clipping. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The clip device comprises a clip for holding a biological tissue and a fastening ring for blocking the arm portion of the clip to perform clipping. In the sliding surface with the fastening ring of the arm portion of the clip, a plurality of level differences are formed in the drawing direction of an operation wire.
