PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slide contact material for a small motor, which is excellent in sliding characteristics and a wear-resistant property and has longer life and can be manufactured at low costs. SOLUTION: In the slide contact material for a small motor, a first layer 2 having arithmetic average roughness Ra of (A) μm and made of a noble metal or an alloy in which the noble metal is a principal component, and a second layer 3 prepared at an upper layer of the first layer and having a film thickness of 0.001×(A) or more and (A) μm or less and made of a noble metal or an alloy in which the noble metal is a principal component are arranged on a conductive base body 1. The noble metal forming the second layer 3 or the noble metal as the principal component of the alloy forming the second layer is a different element from the noble metal forming the first layer 2 or the noble metal as the principal component of the alloy forming the first layer.
