<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preparing a bottled medium capable of efficiently and stably performing bottling and cultivation of a medium by enabling bottling of a medium which is made by mixing a nutritional material such as shochu lees, and whose viscosity becomes high to lose liquidity through adjustment to a water quantity suitable for cultivation, by means of a packing device for packing a conventionally used medium with liquidity in a culture bottle. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This method for preparing the bottled medium comprises packing a medium in a culture bottle with a packing device 2. Specifically, the method comprises, when mixing a nutritional material and water-containing required materials, reducing a water quantity of a medium as compared with a required water quantity for cultivation after mixing, and packing the product in a culture bottle with the packing device 2, and adding water to the medium packed in a culture bottle with a water adding device 5 so as to adjust the water quantity of the medium to the required water quantity.
