PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To set configuration information (config, hereafter) from a server on the Internet through a router to a terminal connected to a LAN. SOLUTION: A transmission method for the config is provided for transmitting the config stored in the server connected to a WAN through the router to the terminal connected to the LAN. The router acquires the config from the server through an external network, the terminal transmits the first command of an address request through the LAN to the router when activated, and the router transmits a second command including an initial setting instruction together with an address through the LAN to the terminal. When receiving the second command from the router through the LAN, the terminal transmits a third command requesting the config through the LAN to the router.
