PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for drug-susceptibility testing that are effective in eliminating a medicine ineffective in inhibiting the activity of targeted cells and also makes it easy to select an effective medicine. SOLUTION: The method for drug-susceptibility testing includes the steps of: culturing cells on a surface of at least one of a plurality of electrodes disposed in a culture medium contained in a measuring container; continuously measuring impedance-related information by applying a predetermined voltage between the plurality of electrodes during the culture with at least one of the following conditions modified: (a) the amount of a medicine under test that is added to the culture medium during the culture; (b) the type of a medicine under test that is added to the culture medium; (c) the period of time that elapses between the start of the culture and the addition of a medicine under test to the culture medium; and (d) the order in which plural types of medicine under test that are added to the culture medium during the culture; and demonstrating a change in the impedance-related information over time due to the modification in condition.
