<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact receiver which facilitates heat radiation in a circuit or the like that easily generates heat, without providing a chassis. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A receiver includes a substrate having mounting surfaces arranged on both sides thereof, a digital demodulation circuit, a video/audio conversion circuit, a volatile memory, a nonvolatile memory, and a power supply circuit for supplying power to the circuits. The digital demodulation circuit, the video/audio conversion circuit, the volatile memory, and the power supply circuit are mounted on one mounting surface of the substrate, and the nonvolatile memory is mounted on the other mounting surface of the substrate.
