<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively suppress both of unsprung vibration and sprung vibration by one expansion actuator. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A vehicle suspension device has an engaging member 20 coupled on a wheel side, and an engaging member 18 vertically movably engaged relatively with respect to the engaging member 20 on the wheel side and coupled on a car body side. The vehicle suspension device also includes: an expansion actuator 16 which expands/contracts as a whole when the engaging member 18 on the car body side is vertically moved with respect to the engaging member 20 on the wheel side; a driving means 14 which drives one of the engaging members 18 and 20 respectively arranged on the wheel side and the car body side; and a control portion 50 which controls the operation of the expansion actuator 16 by transmitting a control signal to the driving means 14. The control signal is composed of a signal produced by superposing a high-frequency component for changing a friction resistance between the wheel-side engaging member 20 and the car-body-side engaging member 18 on a low-frequency component for expanding/contracting the expansion actuator 16.
