<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an evaporator capable of sufficiently exhibiting cooling performance even when a heat transfer fin is frozen. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The heat transfer fin is constituted by first fins 21 and second fins 22. A heat transferring area or heat transferring efficiency of the second fins 22 is set smaller than that of the first fins 21, and the first fins 21 and the second fins 22 are alternately disposed. The second fin 22 having the smaller heat transferring area or heat transferring efficiency hardly freezes. Meanwhile, the first fins 21 having a large heat transfer area or heat transferring efficiency are cooled well. Even when the first fins 21 freeze, as air passes through the second fins 22, so that an air amount can be ensured. At this point, heat is transferred from the second fins 22 to the first fins 21 by heat transfer action. Air can thereby be sufficiently cooled by the second fins 22.
