<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heating apparatus for shortening a rising time, obtaining high heating efficiency and attaining miniaturization and power saving, and an image forming apparatus for shortening a rising time and attaining miniaturization and power saving. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The heating apparatus includes a heating part whose temperature rises when a heating member generates heat; a main power source formed of a commercial power source for supplying electric power to the heating member in the heating part; and an auxiliary power source formed of a power storage device charged by the supply of electric power from the commercial power source constituting the main power source.
