<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent not only cross talk within a line but also cross talk between lines even if pressure chambers are highly densely arranged. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The apparatus includes: first active sections S1 corresponding to the central portion (the direction of a line of pressure chambers) of the pressure chamber 14Aa; second active sections S2 corresponding to the right and left portions on the peripheral side of the pressure chamber 14Aa rather than the central portion; and third active sections S3 corresponding to one side of the central portion of the pressure chamber 14Aa in a direction perpendicular to the direction of the line of pressure chambers. When a voltage is applied to the first active sections S1, the first active sections S1 project toward the inside of the pressure chamber 14Aa. At this time, a cross talk suppression effect is exhibited such that the second and third active sections S2 and S3 do not deform and the deformation of the first active sections S1 does not substantially affect the pressure chamber 14Aa adjacent to it in the direction of the line of pressure chambers and a direction perpendicular to this direction.
