METHOD FOR PRODUCING ACRYLIC ACID

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining acrylic acid by separating it from an acrylic acid aqueous solution without distilling acrylic acid in a system where water exists. SOLUTION: Acrylic acid is extracted from an acrylic acid aqueous solution by using as an extracting solvent a water-insoluble solvent comprising as a main ingredient a water-insoluble aromatic compound having a boiling point lower than the boiling point of acrylic acid, and evaporating the extracting solvent from the resultant extract liquid by distillation thereby to separate acrylic acid.
