<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a thermal transfer sheet, which is excellent in heat resistance and slip properties, the runnability of a thermal head used on which is favorable, in the thermal head used on which neither work-up accumulates nor wear of the thermal head itself occurs and further which can print an image with high displaying quality even to a material to be transferred with no flexibility. <P>SOLUTION: In the thermal transfer sheet, on one side of a base material sheet of which a thermally transferable coloring material layer is provided, while on the other side of the base material sheet of which a heat resistant lubricating layer is provided, the heat resistant lubricating layer includes magnesite-containing talc under the condition that the ratio (M/T)×100 of the peak intensity (M) of magnesite to the peak intensity (T) of talc in the X ray diffraction of the talc is ≤150. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
