<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device in which deterioration of developer is less likely to occur. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device 13 has a developing tank 19, a developing roller 89, and a blade member 101. The developing roller 89 includes a developing sleeve 20 that bears developer on the peripheral face 20a, and a magnetic member 21 disposed inside the developing sleeve 20 so as to be immovable. The magnetic member 21 includes an S1 pole that generates a magnetic field for attracting developer in the developing tank 19 to the peripheral face 20a, and an N1 pole that generates in a developing area a magnetic field for bearing the developer. The blade member 101 regulates the layer thickness of developer on the peripheral face 20a. In addition, the blade member 101 is disposed in the area where the magnetic fields of both the S1 pole and N1 pole are distributed and in the area where the magnetic flux density in the direction of a normal line relative to the peripheral face 20a is greater than that in the direction of a tangent line relative to the peripheral face 20a. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
