<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developing device which prevents two phenomena, i.e., contamination and image quality degradation which are caused by fusion of toner to a developing member serving as a developer carrier. <P>SOLUTION: The developing device include: a first developing member 8 which carries developer in a developing container 2 and supplies it to an electrostatic latent image on the image carrier 10; and a second developing member 9 which supplies the developer, transferred from the first developing member 8, to the electrostatic latent image on the image carrier 10. The surfaces of the first and second developing members 8 and 9 are subjected to roughening so that the average inter-peak distance in the surface of the first developing member 8 is greater than that in the surface of the second developing member 9. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
