PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a photographic apparatus that performs both rotational and translational movements, effectively. SOLUTION: The photographic apparatus includes a movable part which has an imager for shooting an optical image incident through a lens, and is movable and rotatable in a plane perpendicular to an optical axis of the lens. The photographic apparatus includes a controller part which performs a movement control of the movable part for: an inclination correction based on an inclination angle Kθ<SB>n</SB>of the photographic apparatus including the imager around the optical axis with respect to a level plane perpendicular to a direction of gravitational force; a first stabilization for correcting image blur caused by yawing around an axis parallel with a second direction perpendicular to the optical axis and perpendicular to a first direction perpendicular to the optical axis; and a second stabilization for correcting image blur caused by pitching around an axis parallel with the first direction. The controller part performs at least one of a first determination of whether or not the first stabilization is to be performed and a second determination of whether or not the second stabilization is to be performed, on the basis of the inclination angle Kθ<SB>n</SB>.
