<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ground fault detector that detects a ground-fault failure having high ground resistance in DC feed cables laid in the substation premises. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The ground fault detector is composed of a Rogovski coil 5, which is arranged surrounding all of high-voltage-side DC feed cables 11, 12, 13, and 14 and return-side DC feed cables 15, 16, and a current measuring circuit 6 for measuring an accident current caused by a ground fault on the basis of an output voltage of the Rogovski coil 5.
