<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve performance of a compressor by reducing a deformation amount of a cylindrical wall after a pressure resistance test. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The method for manufacturing the compressor includes a casting step ST1 for forming a cast body wherein at least a part thereof is a cylindrical wall, a finishing step ST4 for executing finishing processing of the cast body and forming the cylindrical wall, and a pressure resistance test step ST5 for applying a test pressure higher than a design pressure to an inside of the finishing-processed cylindrical wall. The method further includes a preliminary pressurizing step ST3 for applying a pressure higher than the design pressure to the inside of the cylindrical wall before finishing processing is executed.
