<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an abnormality diagnosis method of a low-speed rotary machine for executing accurately abnormality diagnosis of the low-speed rotary machine by using a strain gage and a displacement gage which are inexpensive, used widely and sold at a market, without using an expensive sensor such as an AE sensor, and without using a complicated signal processing means and a complicated determination method. Ž<P>SOLUTION: This method includes: a detection process for detecting a dynamic strain of a non-rotation part of the low-speed rotary machine which is a diagnosis object by the strain gage 12, and detecting a dynamic displacement of a rotation part or the non-rotation part of the low-speed rotary machine by the displacement gage 13; a component extraction process for performing filter processing of each electric signal obtained from the dynamic strain and the dynamic displacement, and extracting each natural band component of a frequency showing an abnormality state of the low-speed rotary machine; and a diagnosis process for decomposing each natural band component into a plurality of different frequencies respectively, comparing signal levels A, B obtained in each frequency with a signal level in the normal state of the low-speed rotary machine, and diagnosing an abnormality of the low-speed rotary machine.
