PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve a problem wherein a LED lighting device having a delay circuit formed of a resistor, a capacitor and a diode to make start-up of conventional lighting approximate to an incandescent electric bulb, always consumes electric power in the resistor after charging of the capacitor is completed because the resistor forming the delay circuit is connected with wiring of a main circuit for connecting an external power source and the LED as a light source of the lighting device in series with the LED. SOLUTION: In a control device for controlling current supplied to a load such as a light source, the control device has a charge section for charging current supplied to the load, and a limit resistor for controlling current flowing into the charge section only upon charging the charge section.
