PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a digital broadcasting receiver capable of preventing a video output or a sound output from being interrupted in a zapping view while suppressing increases in resources such as a circuit scale and a program size. SOLUTION: During operation of a zapping view mode, a CPU 6 allows a system which is not used for video/audio outputs out of two systems of NIM control units 1, 2 and video/audio processing units 3, 4 to select and decode a channel registered next to a channel being used for outputs at present out of a plurality of previously registered channels and controls the system so that an output from a video/audio output part 5 is switched to a video/audio signal of a succeeding channel in each user operation for instructing the display of the succeeding channel or in each fixed time. During normal operation other than the zapping view mode, video/sound signals are output by using the NIM control part 1 and a video/audio processing part 3 including a BML browser 34 and a caption decoder 35.
